Jeffrey Campbell × Angelito Collective 02
Directed and Produced by Solángel

Shot in Milan, Italy, this second collaboration with Jeffrey Campbell draws from the lived realities of trans women navigating visibility, labor, and survival. Our time in Italy was bittersweet moving through a traditionally conservative landscape where being perceived as trans created a charged and often uncomfortable dynamic. Rather than soften that tension, we chose to confront it.

The concept of working girls became both a reflection and a reclamation. Sex work, visibility, and informal labor are realities deeply woven into our community’s history, shaped by necessity, resilience, and autonomy. Through these images, we highlight that experience with intention centering power, presence, and self-definition rather than spectacle.

This project continues my interest in using fashion imagery as social documentation, where beauty and discomfort coexist, and where trans women are seen not as subjects of curiosity, but as authors of their own narratives.
