Sol

I am a multidisciplinary designer, producer, and creative director working at the intersection of craft, community, and storytelling. My practice moves fluidly between object-making, space-making, and cultural production centering intimacy, material honesty, and lived experience.

I am a co-founder of The Angelito Collective, an art and production initiative rooted in care, resistance, and cultural expression for LGBTQ+ communities in New York City and beyond. Over the past five years, we have raised over $100,000 to directly support Black and trans communities through mutual aid, programming, and creative projects. Our work has been recognized for its impact, collaboration, and commitment to building sustainable creative ecosystems.

My foundation is deeply rooted in design and making. Trained across metal fabrication, wood fabrication, and ceramics, I approach objects with both precision and intuition. I have extensive experience working with stoneware hand-forming, glazing, and firing pieces that emphasize touch, balance, and ritual. Whether working with raw materials or refined finishes, my process centers craft as a form of intimacy and intention.

Alongside design, my practice extends into production and space-making. I produce and cultivate environments that center LGBTQ+ voices, whether through fashion presentations, performances, or community-driven gatherings

My work in film and visual storytelling has been exhibited internationally, including screenings at the Brooklyn Museum, Milan Fashion Film Festival, and institutions connected to the Museum of Modern Art. These projects often blend movement, narrative, and lived experience to create work that is emotionally resonant and socially grounded.

Looking forward, I’m excited to continue expanding my practice as an independent artist allowing curiosity, collaboration, and material exploration to guide where the work goes next. Moments like producing Daveed Baptiste’s segment of the KidSuper show during New York Fashion Week affirmed my interest in working across disciplines, scale, and cultural spaces, where design, performance, and production intersect. As my practice evolves, I remain committed to creating work that is intentional, community-centered, and open to transformation embracing the unknown as both a challenge and an invitation.
