Foundrae X House of Xtravaganza

This collaboration with Foundrae and the House of Xtravaganza draws from the legacy of ballroom houses as spaces of refuge and chosen family. For decades, ballroom communities have provided safety, care, and structure for queer and trans youth navigating rejection and instability elsewhere. I was particularly inspired by Foundrae and the way symbols and heirlooms function as markers of belonging, and survival.

This project honors the strength of the trans community and the role ballroom continues to play as a site for self-expression, protection, and collective dreaming. The jewelry functions as both object and symbol—recognizing the power of chosen families and the enduring spaces they create for people to exist fully and unapologetically
